Why these and not a free download

Most disciplinary matters are lost on paperwork

Not on the facts. A vague charge, a warning with no validity period, an outcome letter with no reasons — each one is an easy win for the other side at arbitration.

Written for the LRA, not for anywhere

Drafted around the Labour Relations Act, the BCEA and the Code of Good Practice: Dismissal — not adapted from an American HR pack.

Built to be defended

Every rights notification, acknowledgement and reason field a commissioner looks for is already in the document, waiting to be completed.

Your letterhead, your details

Company name, registration number, address and logo merge into every page. One form fills a nine-document pack consistently.

How it works

Four steps, about ten minutes

1

Choose

Pick a single document or a complete process pack from the catalogue.

2

Build

Enter your company details, the employee and the matter. Pick standard options from the dropdowns and write your own particulars.

3

Preview

See the full watermarked document before you spend anything. If it is not what you need, change it or walk away.

4

Pay & download

Pay by card through Yoco. You come straight back and the clean PDF downloads on your device.

Your information never leaves your browser

The builder runs entirely on your device. The employee’s name, the allegations and everything else you type are stored only in your own browser and the PDF is generated there. We never receive the contents of your document — which matters, because a disciplinary file is full of other people’s personal information.

When a template is not enough

Some matters need a person, not a PDF

If the matter is serious, the employee is represented, or it has already been referred to the CCMA, buy nothing here. Focus Legal can run the investigation, chair the enquiry or represent you at arbitration.

Questions before you buy

Are these templates legal advice?

No. Disciplinary Guide is a template product of Focus Legal (Pty) Ltd. Focus Legal is an industrial relations consultancy, not a firm of attorneys, and buying a template does not create an attorney–client relationship. Every template is a starting point you must adapt to your own facts.

Does the builder write the charges for me?

No, and that is deliberate. The builder merges administrative details — company name, registration number, address, employee name, dates, venue, chairperson — and lets you pick the standard offence heading from a disciplinary code. You write the particulars of the allegation yourself. We do not draft allegations, findings or sanctions.

What file do I get?

A print-ready A4 PDF, laid out with your company letterhead, page numbering and signature blocks. It generates in your browser the moment your payment is confirmed.

Is my company information sent to your servers?

No. The builder runs entirely in your browser. The details you type are stored only in your own browser and the PDF is generated on your device. We never receive the contents of your document.

Can I use a template more than once?

Yes. A purchase licenses you to use the template as often as you need within your own business. You may not resell it, share it outside your business, or distribute it as your own product. See the licence terms.

What if I need help with the actual matter?

Templates handle the paperwork. If the matter is serious, contested, or the employee is represented, Focus Legal can run the process, chair the enquiry or represent you at the CCMA. Contact Focus Legal.
